NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

I'm running out of jokes trying to be funny during a major Yankee losing streak.  This is stupid now... 5 in a row we've lost. Our Yankees are like zombies... we need a shake up...NOW!  Suddenly the bats have gone cold, the pitching just can't hold the opponent long enough for us to actually score some runs and be competitive... come on!

The Yankees stink... let's not get it twisted.  Can we improve? Sure.  Will we? They need to answer that question.  Tonight the pitching by David Phelps was good, but we need the bats too! Phelps went 6 innings, allowed 9 hits and 4 runs.  Again, and I said this last night, the Yankees can score 4 runs as well to get back in it. So... where the hell were they again tonight?

The hitting again was lifeless.  5 hits total to the Angels 12. Gardy is smiling above. He is allowed to smile... HE'S HITTING!  Brett Gardner had a nice triple to score Chris Stewart in the 3rd. That was quickly followed up with Jayson Nix singling in Gardy.  Then... NOTHING.

Now, I will tell you that Ichiro Suzuki had 2 more hits tonight and has his average up to .269, but Mark Teixeira was 0-2 and was pulled from the game with an aggravated wrist.  Lyle Overbay was 0-3 as the DH.  Robinson Cano was 0-2.  It's incredibly frustrating to watch.  I pray we figure this out soon... it's not very fun anymore...  Jim Bowden of ESPN is chomping at the bit to break my chops. Don't know what I mean? Read HERE.

Final: Angels 6 - Yankees 2.
